48 Kos Yatra – A Sacred Journey across time, faith & civilisation

About

Conceived and executed by Voice Aajkal, this project brings together formidable creative resources, research depth and cinematic storytelling to rediscover, document and visually preserve the tirthas, temples, kunds, rivers, forests and forgotten sites that form the sacred 48 Kos circuit. Undertaken with a deep sense of cultural responsibility, it is not merely a media production, but a commitment to creating something enduring — a visual archive and spiritual legacy for generations to come.

About 48 Kos

A Sacred Journey across time, faith & civilisation

48 Kos is a visual spiritual journey across the ancient sacred landscape of Kurukshetra — the land where history, mythology and philosophy converge.

Stretching across approximately 48 kos (around 150 kilometres), this region encompasses the sacred geography associated with the Mahabharata and Vedic civilisation. It is not merely a physical territory, but a living cultural memory that has shaped the spiritual consciousness of Bharat for thousands of years.

For millions of Hindus worldwide, Kurukshetra is not simply a historical site — it is the land of Dharma. It is where Lord Krishna delivered the eternal message of the Bhagavad Gita, where sages performed yajnas and tapasya, and where generations undertook pilgrimage to reconnect with purpose. Yet many of these sacred locations remain undocumented, under-promoted, or unknown to younger generations.

With 48 Kos Yatra, Voice Aajkal seeks to change that.
